Palworld Ore Locations and Mining Guide

You need a lot of ore to progress in Palworld, especially in the early to mid game.

I have found several good spots with lots of ore, which are suitable for building a base and mining ores.

On the minimap below, you can see the Base icon at the center which I have circled. This is where you will find lots of ore scattered around the area.

It is to the northwest of the Chillet boss, across a bridge.

The place is not far from the starting area. The pals in this area are not too strong (around level 10), so you can easily farm ore here.

There is also another good ore spot next to Desolate Church as marked with red circle below on the minimap:

The Desolate Church is in the area with red trees.

The 3rd ore spot is in the area northwest of the red trees, as marked with red circle below on the minimap:

This is also a good place to build a farming base.

Mining Ore with Metal Pickaxe (Slow)

It is worth noting that while you can build a base here, the pals with level 1 mining would not be able to mine the ore automatically.

You can use a metal pickaxe (crafted at High Quality Workbench) to mine ores. However, this is still quite slow.

Mining Ore with Pal Buffs (Fast)

You can utilize the buffs given by pals to mine ores faster.

For example, Here is a Cattiva that gives mining efficiency buff of 25% via the Mine Foreman passive skill.

Cattiva also has a fixed Partner Skill which increases your carrying capacity by 50, which comes in handy when you are mining ores.

If you want to mine even faster, you can stack the Mine Foreman passive skill from multiple pals.

This is an example of having 3 pals with Mine Foreman passive skill in the party:

You can see that the damage number is much higher (around 150 instead of 109), which yields about two ores on average per hit.

Mining Ore with Rushoar (Fast)

There is a trick to mine ores with pals more efficiently. Specifically you can use Rushoar to mine ores.

Simply ride the Rushoar (you need a saddle) and then use the first skill (left click) to charge into the ore. This will mine the ore and automatically pick it up.

If you aim the charge correctly, you can even mine multiple ores at once.

You can also avoid losing durability on your pickaxe by using this method.
